Weigh water and add sodium dehydroacetate. Adjust water bath and mixing on homogenizer. Disperse xanthan gum in glycerin and 1,3-propanediol. Pour Phase A2 into the main water phase and let hydrate for 30 minutes. Weigh phases B and C. Heat phases A and C to 82°C. Mix phases B and C to phase A to form emulsion with adequate homogenization (2500-2800 RPM) mixing speed for 30 minutes. At 45°C, add phase D and mix for 5 minutes. Add phase E and let mix. Make up volume with phase F (not below 40°C). Mix for 30 minutes until cool and uniform.
Appearance—Smooth, uniform rich lotion; Application—Spreads very easily on skin; Color—Off-white; Odor—Sweet, fragrance-free; Centrifuge—No separation at RT and 40°C; Viscosity (at 20°C)—Between 14,000 cP and 18,000 cP T-B 12 RPM, 150s; pH—6.0-6.5.
